Have Fun Tattoo shop approved

The Board of Zoning Appeals approved Have Fun Tattoo’s request to set up shop on Detroit Avenue. Under city zoning laws, tattoo shops cannot operate in certain residential areas without approval from the board.

Two weeks earlier, Have Fun Tattoo appeared in front of the board but could not move forward because of a missing board member.

New residential care facility for men with disabilities in South Collinwood

The board approved transitioning a single-family home to a residential care facility in Ward 10. The property owner said that the care facility plans to house up to five men with disabilities. 

Council Member Anthony Hairston expressed concerns over the third floor’s fire safety. The property owner received conditional approval and will need to address the safety concerns.
