Finally. Summer is over.
I am a typical summer-hating goth – I don’t like beaches, baseball, heat or sunlight, and I ain’t sorry to see summer go. Ever.
So, of course, Halloween is my favorite holiday. It’s my Christmas, but better. I gathered up an all-inclusive list of things to do around Cleveland to celebrate Halloween, some better-known and bigger than others, and I made sure to keep it weird.

Near West Theatre Historic Haunts Tour
- When: Thursday, Oct. 1, through Saturday, Oct. 3
- Where: 6702 Detroit Ave., Cleveland
- Details: A lantern-lit, guided tour filled with history and spooky urban legends in the Gordon Square Arts District. $8 for kids; $15 for adults.
Lunch on Fridays – Through The Glass Darkly: A Brief History of Occult Cinema
- When: Friday, Oct. 2, 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
- Where: Cleveland Institute of Art, 11610 Euclid Ave., Cleveland
- Details: The Cleveland Institute of Art hosts a lunchtime conversation on films about dark arts and witchcraft with the director of the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick, Steven Intermill. Free to attend.
One Night at The Chamber
- When: Friday, Oct. 2, 9 p.m.
- Where: Mercury Music Lounge, 18206 Detroit Ave., Lakewood
- Details: Elder goths can relive the dark magic of the beloved nightclub, The Chamber, and support the Mercury, which is set to re-open soon following a roof collapse and a two-month-long closing. And yes, Cat will be at the bar, IYKYK.
Eerie Cleve Horror’s Halloween Sale
- When: Friday, Oct. 2, through Sunday, Oct. 4
- Where: 3474 W. 150th St., Cleveland
- Details: Shop local for your Halloween decorations this year at Eerie Cleve Horror’s Halloween Sale.
The Cleveland Moms’ Fourth Annual Halloween Spooktaculars – East and West Side Editions
- When: Sundays, Oct. 4 (West) and Oct. 11 (East), 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Where: North Olmsted Recreation Center Field House and Lost Nation Sports Park, Willoughby
- Details: TheClevelandMoms.com hosts a family day, one in Willoughby, one in North Olmsted, with trick-or-treating, local vendors, entertainment for the kiddos and more. Free to attend.
Riverside Cemetery Yoga
- When: Wednesday, Oct. 7, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Where: 3607 Pearl Road, Cleveland
- Details: Meta Soul Yoga Studios hosts a yoga session in the stillness and serenity of Riverside Cemetery. $20.
Goth Night: Halloween Edition
- When: Friday, Oct. 9, 10 p.m.
- Where: B-Side Liquor Lounge, 2785 Euclid Hts. Blvd., Cleveland Heights
- Details: The B-Side Liquor Lounge in Coventry hosts a Halloween edition of Goth Night with industrial, gothic and darkwave dance music. Costumes are encouraged. $10.
Oktober’s Witches Night Market
- When: Saturday, Oct. 10, 4 to 10 p.m.
- Where: Oktober’s, 12611 Madison Ave., Lakewood
- Details: Hosted by the occult and witchcraft accessories shop Oktober’s, the night market will feature costumed actors and performers, tarot and past-life readings and other metaphysical fun.
Monroe Street Cemetery’s 2026 Zombie Run and Lurch
- When: Sunday, Oct. 11, 9 a.m.
- Where: Clark Field, 2820 Quigley Road, Cleveland
- Details: Monroe Street Cemetery hosts the 2026 Zombie Run and Lurch along the Towpath Trail in Tremont. Participants are highly encouraged to dress in their most grotesque zombie costumes. Run, $35; walk, $25. Register here.

Got the Morbs LIVE at Vinyl Groove Records

- Details: Local true-crime and paranormal podcast Got the Morbs will record their show live at Vinyl Groove Records. $5.
Alger Cemetery Walk
- When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6 p.m.
- Where: Municipal lot at 16906 Albers Ave., Cleveland
- Details: Hear ghost stories, history and more with cemetery guide Ross Basset at West Park’s Alger Cemetery. Free to attend.
Ghostbusters in Concert
- When: Thursday, Oct. 15, 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Northfield Park Racino, 10777 Northfield Road, Northfield
- Details: Watch the “Ghostbusters” film with its score performed by a live orchestra. Tickets start at $56.90.
The Cleveland Torso Murders Trolley Tour
- When: Saturday, Oct. 17, 12:45 p.m.
- Where: 6000 Carnegie Ave., Cleveland
- Details: Sightsee In Cle hosts a trolley tour of notable spots associated with one of Cleveland’s most enduring murder mysteries. $95.
A Very Spooky Forgotten Club Bangers Costume Party
- When: Saturday, Oct. 17, 10 p.m.
- Where: B-Side Liquor Lounge, 2785 Euclid Heights Blvd., Cleveland Heights
- Details: Several DJs will play hit club music from the 2000s at this Halloween-themed dance night. Costumes are encouraged. $15 in advance.
4th Annual Cars and Candy
- When: Saturday, Oct. 17, 2 to 5 p.m.
- Where: O’Reilly Auto Parts, 14771 Snow Road, Brook Park
- Details: A trunk-or-treat event for kids hosted in the auto parts store’s parking lot. Free to attend.
Witch, Please! Bingo: For Good!
- When: Sunday, Oct. 18, 5 p.m.
- Where: Music Box Supper Club, 1148 Main Ave., Cleveland
- Details: This Halloween-themed drag show fundraiser benefits two local animal rescue organizations. $25 in advance.
Walking with Ghosts
- When: Friday, Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Mimi Ohio Theatre, Playhouse Square
- Details: TV host and author Amy Bruni brings her live show telling stories of true-life paranormal experiences to Playhouse Square. Starts at $46.80.
Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
- When: Friday, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, shows at 6 and 8:30 p.m.
- Where: Maltz Performing Arts Center, 1855 Ansel Road, Cleveland
- Details: The Listeso String Quartet will perform Halloween Classics like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and the theme from “Stranger Things.” Starting at $33.
House of Wills Tours

Cleveland Metroparks Halloween 5K Run/Walk

- Details: Runners and walkers are encouraged to dress up in costume for an adventure through the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. $30.
Cleveland Spooktacular Craft & Vendor Market

No Class 5th Annual Pumpkin Carving Party
- When: Monday, Oct. 26, 7 p.m.
- Where: 11213 Detroit Ave., Cleveland
- Details: Cleveland’s best known LGBTQ/punk rock venue is hosting its 5th annual pumpkin carving party open to all ages. Free to attend, just bring your own pumpkin.
Make Your Own Halloween Sock Puppets
- When: Wednesday, Oct. 28, 4 p.m.
- Where: Cleveland Public Library Eastman Branch, 11602 Lorain Ave. Cleveland
- Details: Children ages 6 to 11 are invited to make their own Halloween sock puppets. Materials provided. Free to attend.
XCSB Halloween Spooktacular
- When: Wednesday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m.

- Details: This Halloween-themed event features music by DJs from XCSB. Free to attend.
Halloween Trivia Night
- When: Friday, Oct. 30, 7 to 11 p.m.
- Where: Overlook Venue Event Center, 5313 Hauserman Road, Parma
- Details: Trivia, goodies and a $300 costume contest prize all to support the Northeast Ohio SPCA. Tickets start at $28.52.
Monster Mash at Dunlap’s
- When: Saturday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m.
- Where: Dunlap’s Corner Bar, 3258 W. 32nd St.

Mushroomhead Annual Halloween show with Fear Factory
