Rally for Youth Back-to-School Festival
When: Saturday, Aug. 22 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Luke Easter Park, 3090 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Cleveland
Details: Free backpacks, school supplies, community resources, and haircuts and braiding.
Cleveland Votes CarniVote
When: Saturday, Aug. 22 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: 11901 Oakfield Ave. in Cleveland
Details: Free backpacks and school supplies, community resources, educational information and family activities. There will also be voter resources and free food and drink.
Back-to-School Giveaway
When: Sunday, Aug. 23 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Marion Sterling Elementary School, 12200 Oak Park Blvd., in Cleveland
Details: Free backpacks and school supplies while supplies last and free haircuts and hair braiding. The event will also feature raffles and prizes, free food and drinks and a bounce house and DJ.
Wisdom Community Back-to-School Giveaway
When: Monday, Aug. 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Where: 17325 Euclid Ave., 3rd Floor in Cleveland
Details: Free school supplies and clothes and cotton candy and pop corn. Kids must be present to receive supplies.
Community Downtown Bounce: A Wellness Event
When: Thursday, Aug. 27 from noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Peer Center for Health & Wellness, 1701 Payne Ave. in Cleveland
Details: Free food trucks, backpacks, school and hygiene supplies.
Open Arms Outreach Back-to-School Community Field Day
When: Saturday, Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Kerruish Park, 17218 Tarkington Ave. in Cleveland
Details: Free school supplies, haircuts and community resources. The event also includes field day activities, music and food.
Pearlz 5th Annual Back-to-School Event
When: Sunday, Aug. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Where: 6600 Lexington Ave. in Cleveland
Details: Free backpacks and school supplies, barbers for haircuts, food and games. Parents must accompany their children to the event.
