New Cleveland City Council term begins with cheers and a call for trust
Twelve returning members and three first-time members make up the 119th Cleveland City Council. Council Member Brian Kazy called for the Mayor Justin Bibb Administration to better trust council.
Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb took the oath of office on January 3, 2022, for his first four-year term. Bibb finished first in a seven-way nonpartisan primary and won the general election by 26-percentage points to become the city’s first new mayor in 16 years.
