Demonstrators packed the street corners around Cleveland’s West Side Market Saturday to protest President Donald Trump, government cuts, trade policy, Wall Street’s financial trouble and what they see as attacks on democracy.
Despite a rainy start to the day, more than a thousand people packed Market Square at West 25th Street and Lorain Avenue. A healthy police presence was on hand to keep traffic moving.
The demonstration was one of hundreds of “Hands Off!” rallies held across the country on Saturday, including in Akron.
Cleveland’s rally was the largest in the city since Trump was re-elected.
