Cleveland voters gave Mayor Justin Bibb a second term. Bibb received about 74% of the vote, according to unofficial results.

In Collinwood, longtime Council Member Mike Polensek won the race for the newly drawn Ward 10, getting just more than 67% of the vote to fellow Council Member Anthony Hairston’s 32%.

Meanwhile, across town, progressives had a good night with a tight race in Ward 12, where democratic socialist Tanmay Shah leads Council Member Danny Kelly by just a few votes. Progressives โ€“ who have been trying to get a foothold on council โ€“ were buoyed by that race. Uncounted provisional and late-arriving mail-in ballots could prove decisive in this race. A final result would also go to an automatic recount.
