Live-tweeting is way to share your meeting coverage with a broader social audience in real time.
In this one hour training, we’ll discuss assignment preparation, how to document a meeting effectively via Twitter, and technical tips that can literally make or break your live-tweet thread.
Join us if you want to:
- Do more effective pre-meeting web research
- Practice writing quickly and concisely
- Explore social media as a platform for civic dialogue
- Make your application(s) for assignments more versatile
Prior experience with Twitter is not necessary, though we do recommend that beginners watch our Intro to Twitter video and create a public Twitter account prior to the start of the training (come early for help with set up). You will need a laptop or mobile device for this training.
At the end of the training, you will have an opportunity to take a quiz and earn our Twitter badge. While not required to apply for live tweeting assignments, the badge indicates to us that you are familiar with our expectations for live-tweeting assignments.
To register, sign up for an account at Documenters.org, and then click here to register for the live tweet training.
If you are new to Cleveland Documenters, be sure to register for the Cleveland Documenters Orientation on Thursday, September 21st from 5:30 p.m via Zoom. Attending an orientation is a requirement for working as a Cleveland Documenter.
